No not necessarily, we will only recommend doing work that is necessary. We will diagnose where the leak is coming from and will treat that as cost effectively as possible. If a there are larger problem we will of course advise you if a new roof is required. This tends to be if the felt is degraded, there are untreated roofing battens which have rotted or low quality porous tiles are no longer a protective primary barrier.

We specialise in flat roof repair or re roofs in lead only, as fibreglass or plastic options will inevitably leak due to sun damage. However we would always suggest getting a local roofing company to check your roof as there might be reasons behind why it has been misplaced, such as rotten battens, corroded nails etc. So an expert eye can diagnose this quickly to prevent further issues and needing scaffolding again, which can be a large part of the expense.
